Back ground dub in the way of music tracks is there to lift the silence and to enhance the atmosphere not completely kill it.

How many wedding videos have you seen where synth or pan pipe type music has drowned out the conversation of say a photo shoot, Did the guests say the bride looks gorgeous? don't know the music drowned it you may say.
